Our Team
Naomi Onwuka is the visionary founder and dedicated board member of the Foundation for Girl Child Mentorship and Orientation, an organization devoted to empowering young girls and women through education, mentorship, and personal development. Growing up in a poor agrarian community where child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and poverty were common, Naomi understood from an early age the urgent need for role models and opportunities for girls.
Determined to break the cycle of poverty, she pursued higher education and earned a degree in petroleum engineering, a field where women are often underrepresented. In addition to her engineering degree, Naomi Onwuka holds certifications in leadership management and has built a reputation as a teen coach, empowering young girls to overcome societal challenges and realize their full potential.
Through the foundation, Naomi Onwuka focuses on creating impactful programs that help girls and women find their voice in all areas of life, including the political space. By providing education, mentorship, and guidance, the foundation encourages women to engage in leadership and civic responsibilities, equipping them with the skills and confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities.
Her leadership and personal journey inspire young girls and women alike, proving that no matter the obstacles, success and empowerment are attainable with the right support. Through her advocacy efforts and partnerships with local and international organizations, Naomi Onwuka continues to champion gender equality and the empowerment of girls from marginalized communities, ensuring they have the tools to lead and thrive.
